When I started Rooted at my kitchen counter with no money, a lot of depression and a dream, I never imagined how much joy this “job” could bring me. This past year has been full of meaningful moments both personally and professionally. I’m so grateful for a growing family that’s changed everything in the sweetest way and the chance to build a business serving Wichita and surrounding areas, all while caring for my daughter.
Every project, every client, and every opportunity has reminded me why I love helping people create homes that feel aligned with their vision and lifestyle. As I look ahead, I’m thankful for the trust my clients have placed in Rooted and for the opportunity to serve them well.
Memorable Highlights of 2025
This year brought so many exciting milestones, from taking on more commercial projects to growing Rooted with new systems that support a smooth and more elevated client experience. I’ve also been building my A-team of trusted trade professionals to recommend to my clients.
On a personal note, being able to take maternity leave and soak in those early moments with Ruby was one of my greatest gifts. It’s been a season of growth in every direction, and I’m so grateful for it.
Challenging Setbacks of 2025
Work this year has come in waves… we’ve had both busy and slow times. In the middle of it all, we bought a house that needed to be completely remodeled. There were moments that stretched me, but they pushed me to adapt, simplify my systems, and lean on the people and processes that truly support me.
Professional Plans for 2026
I’m still learning as I go, but I’ve found a steady rhythm and a deeper confidence in where Rooted is headed in 2026. In my experience, it’s less overwhelming when we fully complete a room before moving to the next. It feels like a simple, steady way to create real change in a home while keeping the process manageable for everyone. I’m hoping we can take more of those projects on so we can help even more people.
