Hello, World!
I’ve officially launched what used to feel like a long-distant dream, Rooted Interior Design, a Wichita-based full service interior design firm. For the past 7 years, I’ve had the privilege of designing commercial & residential interior architecture and design, both new and old, in Kansas. It has been an honor to work with amazing clients that want to bring to life the space they need and touch so many people in my hometown. These years have been full of learning, growing and building something I’m incredibly proud of.
I’d like to introduce myself to those who don’t know me personally. A little about me –
I love traveling and seeing new or old architecture.
I’m spontaneous but love a slow day.
I love country music.
I’m a compulsive movie quoter… and recovering Taco Bell addict… I often relapse.
I love being creative and bringing an idea to life. The face of a happy client gives my day so much purpose.
I love painting… but never seem to make time for it anymore. However, I like to think I’m pretty good at it so I guess I should do it more!
People always threaten to kidnap my toy poodle, Gunner. He’s a level 10, GOOD BOY.
My first dream job was to be a paleontologist. I loved science and dinosaurs.
I won’t kill a spider. I’ll risk my life to put it in a cup and bring it outside.
My laugh is loud and I get made fun of for it.
I love a good chai latte and singing in the car.
I live for the suspense of popping a cork of a champagne bottle.
I have a passion for changing the world.
After gaining the experience, education, and credentials, I’ve decided to open up my own full service interior design business, to share as much as I can about my design process and educate people on why I believe their home or workplace should be a thoughtful reflection of themselves, so they can feel empowered, starting where they spend the most of their time.
With the launch of our blog, I plan on sharing the ins and outs of design with you, tips, trends and ideas for your next project. I’m looking forward to bringing you all along on this journey and inspiring one another with functional and beautiful spaces.
